Celebrating LeBron James' NBA Record with Lobos Tequila

Wife of the Party had the privilege to assist Lobos 1707 Tequila and Mezcal in celebrating basketball legend LeBron James on his extraordinary achievement of being named the all-time leading scorer in NBA history! After his victory game, LeBron celebrated with a private candlelight dinner at LAVO Ristorante in Los Angeles. We transformed the restaurant and created an elegant tablescape using tall hurricane candles to craft a “runner” along the length of the king-like table. There were also branded, personalized menu cards sitting atop each plate to help guide diners through the service and a unique floral display made to look like a scoreboard showcasing the number of points he had scored that beat all others before him: lucky number 38,388.

Following the intimate supper, friends and family continued the celebratory festivities into the wee hours of the morning right next door at The Fleur Room, a swanky cocktail lounge. This is where we had a lot of fun with the details: displays of LeBron’s jerseys throughout his illustrious career, a Lobos 1707 Tequila step-and-repeat photo moment, a variety of framed photos of LeBron, and specialty cocktails named “All-Time Scorer,” “Leader of the Pack,” and “The Rotation.” Display cases were also styled to display Lobos 1707 Tequila, as well as branded Lobos 1707 Tequila basketballs. Around midnight, we surprised King James with a cake that highlighted his portrait and a king’s crown. Partygoers, including LeBron’s agent Rich Paul, singer Kelly Rowland, and other celebrity friends toasted to LeBron and were re-energized for a night of dancing and merriment!
