Chance Combs' Sweet Sixteen! The first buyout of Catch Steak in Los Angeles
For Diddy's daughter, Chance, a fabulous 16th birthday party was exactly what we needed to create for the family that always delivers grandeur! The Combs brood entrusted Wife of the Party to take care of all design concepts, party coordination, décor elements, and lighting scheme. We opted to buyout the new CATCH Steak LA, since it had not been done before and this was an incredibly special Sweet 16. Although the room of restaurant that the birthday girl loved most was bedecked in red, we transformed it to fit a purple magical butterfly-garden theme.
Desis Decorations made large garlands of balloons in white and lavender with butterfly accents leading up the stairs to the entrance of the dinner party. An eight-foot purple sign adorned with butterflies stood at the top of the staircase providing guests a hint of what was to come at the evening festivities. As if the party wasn’t filled with happiness already, it was made even further exciting because a production team from Hulu was filming Diddy’s new show airing soon!
Peony Secret crafted remarkable florals in shades of deep purple, plum, pinks, and lavenders, including an oversized standing display of the number 16 and a spectacular doorway presentation. Tables were decorated with lovely arrangements of Lilies of the Valley, lavender sprigs, and roses in hues of eggplant and blush. Gilt charger plates were topped with a customized purple menu card, a metallic butterfly charm, and completed with linen napkins embroidered with the corresponding guest’s name. Candlelight rounded out the eye-catching feminine style of the tablescapes.
Desserts were as cute as they were delicious, including personalized cookies from Cookieteria and a vanilla birthday cake frosted in white and adorned with lavender butterflies by Sweet Deetails. For a bit of fun, LX Pix provided a 360 booth that entertained Chance and her friends, creating many photo opportunities and memories that are sure to last a lifetime.
