An Electric Jungle Themed Baby Shower

When our long time client, Paloma, and her husband shared with us that they were having their fourth and final baby, we were eager to begin brainstorming the best baby shower ideas. Then the couple revealed that they already had an idea. They wanted a super-unique baby shower for their last: a fun party just for the adults! A nighttime electric jungle theme at their home was the winning concept, so we hit the ground running.

Focusing on lighting, coordination, and fabrication, we had wild ideas beginning with lighted β€œframed” photo opportunities and uplighting showcasing all the magnificent florals and lush greenery crafted by Peony Secret and Jackson Shrub, respectively. Create Event Design supplied round tables surrounded with stylish oval-backed chairs, so that loved ones could sit and comfortably eat, chat, and process all of the wow-worthy details of the alfresco setting. Jorge Meza documented the day and was able to capture vivid images of all the dΓ©cor elements, as well as candid photos of loved ones’ merriment.

Savage Tacos supplied delicious choices in tacos, whilst Belladonna Sweets made a darling two-layer cake bedecked in pink frosting and red sugar flowers for something sweet after dinner. Guests played fun games inspired by typical baby shower games, but much to the surprise (and delight) of attendees, these games involved alcohol, though the bar highlighted a yummy, special menu of β€œMommy’s Mocktails.” Adorable miniature bullion giraffes, monkeys, and more were sprinkled throughout the dΓ©cor, lighting design featured fern fronds in greens and reds on the pavement surrounding dinner tables, tiki torch lights lent a warm ambience, and my favorite – the animal-shaped topiaries that tied the theme together.

It was a wonderful evening filled with family and friends in the forest. Paloma, we are grateful you hired us for another family milestone. Congratulations on the newest baby!
