Super Lucca World - A Special 6th Birthday Party for Lucca Bleu

Lucca Bleu’s birthday is always one for the books. As the baby of the family at Wife of the Party, it’s always a pleasure to celebrate her and wish her well amongst family and friends. Since she’s currently very into Nintendo’s arcade game figures, Princess Peach and Mario Bros., we decided that would be the perfect theme and opted to host the event at our new property: The Good Time Venue. We had the whole team get to work, spinning their creative wheels, and starting on the design concept that would focus on elements of the game and using a primary color palette.

As guests arrived, they were met with a vibrant window display. Gaby’s Balloons designed and installed an incredible balloon work of art. Once inside, children and adults alike were mesmerized. We fabricated a plethora of items in order to recreate the actual video game. The space was filled with one-of-a-kind details, including a castle! There were hedges of grass, plants, and mushroom props from Jackson Shrub and comfy furniture, stools, ottomans, and more from Create Event Design that went perfectly with the concept.

An interactive photo booth from LX Pix excited guests because not only were they able to use Mario Bros.-inspired props against a green screen, but in lieu of typical photo-paper prints, it also printed cool holographic cards with the desired photo. Further along in the party room, revelers discovered an oversized video game wall where kids could lounge on the bean-bag chairs and play a game or two.

We decided to offer kid-friendly fare – catered by Saayang Market -- that their parents would love, too. The menu included “Bowser’s Chicken Nuggets,” “Luigi’s Italian Grinder,” “Mario’s Meatball Slider,” and more Italian favorites that were cleverly named, as well as a sundae station with good old-fashioned Thrifty ice cream. Crystal Bartenders was on hand to provide children’s drinks, in addition to a full bar for grownups. A masterpiece of a cake was on display for partygoers. The confection designers at Belladonna Sweets really went to town crafting each layer that was artistically arranged to showcase Mario Bros. game elements.

Later on in the party, we of course, had to have a visit from the Princess herself, as well as Mario. They arrived in time to sing “Happy Birthday” to Lucca and at the finale, a burst of confetti sprinkled over guests. It was colorful and so memorable for the little ones, who were already having a blast while coloring at the miniature tables, having their styled by Mystic Mane using thin metallic tinsel, and relishing in the delight of having an airbrush design painted on them by the folks from Monliet Art Services.

It was a wonderful day, but incredibly busy! Over two hundred loved ones visited Lucca that day and showered her with gifts, hugs, and kisses. The entire room was bustling with excitement and happiness, and we were so proud to be able to host and provide all of the lovely details for everyone to enjoy. We were so thankful our friend and colleague Edward De la Torre of EDLT Photo was on hand and able to capture all of the special moments, whilst Kerns at Make It Productions shot all of the video. Until next year!
