World's Largest Toy Drive

Wife of the Party loves charitable affairs and always tries to lend a helping hand for community events, so we were elated to help out at the World’s Largest Toy Drive. Filling up over 50 semi-trucks for the 9th annual toy drive, Dan Fleyshman partnered with friend Travis Bott to challenge the public to bring over 50,000 toys to Hubble Studio in Los Angeles. Dan and his crew wanted to beat their successful event from the prior year and help even more kids, families, and organizations. They set out to break the Guinness World Record for the most toys collected in one hour, ultimately collecting over 8,000 toys in a single hour. What an accomplishment! All items were donated to Trina’s Kids Foundation, hospitals, and the Watts Foundation.

The public was asked to bring toys or money to help with the ambitious venture. If someone decided to send in a monetary donation, then staff would go out and purchase toys on the person’s behalf. Santa and Buddy the Elf were present to greet people who opted to come in person and donate gifts. A few days later, Dan accompanied Travis to gather 20,000 presents – $400,000 worth – stored inside of Sean Whelan Lions Not Sheep headquarters/warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah, and begin handing out the items to a variety of charities and hospitals in that area. Needless to say, we had a very merry Christmas knowing we facilitated in providing joy to so many families and children. We hope it helped to make their holiday a little brighter!
