Scarlett's Willy Wonka Themed Birthday Party

Wife of the Party was secured to work on one pretty little lady’s birthday party! We focused on coordination, decor, and fabrication for Scarlett’s Willy Wonka-themed birthday party. Scarlett’s mama always settles on the cutest ideas; last year, we helped to create a pirate-themed celebration. We opted for a primarily purple color palette, with of course, pops of chocolate brown and colorful candy hues.

Kids had an amazing time in the jumper and ball pit – from Lil Munchkins – filled with hundreds of balls to dive into, splash around in, and toss to each other. Surrounding that play area were bright purple sofas and chairs – from Create Event Design – for the parents to sit down, keep an eye on their kids, and enjoy themselves as well with plates of food from E & J Tacos and cocktails crafted by the Crystal Bartenders.

Children also had an opportunity to enjoy a terrific magic show by Chazz The Magician, make custom necklaces, get their faces painted, and craft tie-dye T-shirts with the help of Monliet Art Services. It was a joy to watch them laugh, create, and soak up every minute of Willy Wonka madness. When parents could steal their minis away from the action for a minute and get a good photo at one of the artfully designed backdrops, they certainly did so! There was a lavender-colored “wall” with a banner that read Wonka, along with a cutout of Willy himself. Oversized candy canes, Hershey’s kisses, and spiral lollipops – from Platinum Props – were also sprinkled about, as were garlands of deep-purple balloons – from Desi’s Decorations – complemented with hard candy-wrapped Mylar balloons to add a splash of whimsy.

I particularly loved the giant “Scarlett’s Golden Ticket” sign near the entrance. Right outside of that doorway were long tables dressed in pretty purple tablecloths, clear ghost chairs with favor bags sitting atop, and extra room for the children’s crafts. We were so glad that EDLT Photo was on hand to capture all of the memorable moments, in addition to LX Pix photo booth to document even more fun.

An extraordinary fresh fruit station was on display, in addition to Scarlett’s Wonka Bars, completely customized Wonka cookies by Cookieteria, candy apples, cupcakes, a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-inspired birthday cake, and a scrumptious chocolate fountain with all the fixins’ from Edible 360. Literally, this party was a child’s dream. It made me feel five years old again just working on it! We loved creating all the little details and can’t wait to celebrate Scarlett more in the future.
