2021 Super Bowl Weeknd

Super Bowl Weekend in 2021 was one crazy, wild ride. Our team was forced to break into teams to cover all the events we had booked, which definitely is a great problem to have. Lucy and Loriann flew to Tampa, Florida, while Maya, Herick, and the rest of the team took care of the responsibilities we had in Los Angeles.

Event #1

Celebrating the 1st birthday of London, daughter of dancer/choreographer Melissa Molinaro. The theme was inspired by the popular Disney television series: Minnie’s Bow-Toons. We helped with event design and production for the perfectly pink “London's Bowtique” setup in the backyard of the family’s home. For the intimate soiree, we dotted the grassy space with pink lounge areas, a bar for refreshments, and balloon creations by Party Shop Avenue. We also installed vanities since they paired with the concept nicely, kids’ tables for meals and others for activities where the littles decorated their own bows, and a set wall ideal for special photo moments. There were additional details throughout that helped carry the cute them, including mini water bottles with personalized labels. Later in the day, even Mickey and Minnie Mouse came for a visit!

Event #2

For this drive-by party, we created a whimsical décor scheme made complete with all the details from the beloved children’s board game Candy Land. “Carolina's Candy Land” drive-by celebration boasted large garlands of punchy hued balloons from Desi’s Decorations, impeccable oversized candy-cane signage, and even game characters and tall lollipops dotting the lawn area. Friends and family were treated to boxed popcorn, bags of candy and toys, and colorful cotton candy, and were also invited to take photos with the birthday girl against the impressive backdrop.

Event #3

For this amazing Super Bowl party at the Triller Compound, hosted by Boohoo & BoohooMan, we arranged for a customized concession stand, beer pong tables, and of course, the necessary mechanical bull for all to have the best Sunday Funday ever! Crumble Catering made fresh barbecue with all the fixins’ and yummy cocktails were also offered to guests who lounged on large bean bags from Form Décor while they watched the game on large LED screens provided by 3D Sounds. With all the entertainment going on around them, TikTok influencers were able to easily create cool content for their followers while keeping up with the game.

Event #4

Just a week before Super Bowl, we received an amazing call from The Weeknd! His team wanted to hire us to help with a celebratory dinner and after party: XO Record Label Super Bowl After Party for The Weeknd. Dinner was hosted at Olivia, a gorgeous Italian restaurant, and later, an after-party at CW’s Gin Joint, both located in Tampa. We designed custom pool tables, an elegant balloon installation, a one-of-a-kind beer pong table, and two-and-a-half cakes. There were supposed to be three confections, but one baker did an awful job so it wasn’t used; I laugh now, but I was mortified at the time. That aspect is definitely a huge challenge – working with new vendors who you don’t know and are in another state is tough. It’s my job to work around that and still produce, so that’s just what we did! We focused on eye-catching lighting designs and other personalized elements, so that the details really popped.

We can’t wait for this year’s Super Bowl!
