Roy & Susan's Noor Wedding

This past fall, Wife of the Party was asked to plan and coordinate the nuptials of Susan and Roy Sel in Pasadena, California. The couple selected Noor as their venue – a favorite site of ours! The staff is wonderful to work with and we are very familiar with the layout, which makes it very easy for us to develop designs.

The intimate affair began with a romantic ceremony with beautiful choices made by Susan and Roy Sel for the décor scheme. Tall arrangements of florals in peach, pink, pineapple, and vanilla, as well as pillar candles decorated the white-lined aisle. It was a gorgeous contrast to the elegant black-and-white space and dazzling in-house chandeliers.

As the ceremony ended, loved ones shuffled to cocktail hour while the room was seamlessly transformed into a reception area. Ebony drapery covered the walls, ghost chairs surrounded dinner tables, and fragrant florals in the same color palette from the ceremony were carried over into the décor for the evening. You could feel the love and warmth in the room. What’s nice about a smaller wedding is that the bride and groom were able to spend time with visit with each of their 50 guests.

After dinner, everyone was ready for a night of revelry! There was a photo booth available when someone needed a break from all the dancing. The DJ and MC were a hit! Not only did the DJ play everyone’s favorite songs to ensure people were on their feet, but the MC organized a fun game, asking family and friends questions about the bride and groom. The guest who answered the questions correctly won the awe-worthy centerpiece at their table as a gift to take home at the end of the night
