Sandra’s 40th birthday party! Wow! This was an incredible day. Sandra and her closest friends hopped on a yacht for a birthday celebration aptly named “Shipwrecked with Sandra.” As her friends, dressed in all-white attire, made their way onto the ship, they were gifted a nautical-themed bag with goodies inside to help make their daytime getaway comfortable.

Beginning with lunch, each place setting was decorated with a bullion charger plate, topped with a crisp linen napkin, fresh florals, and a captain’s hat. Lovely arrangements of blooms – crafted by Rendezvous Flowers – in muted tones also bedecked tabletops and the bar. The design scheme felt sophisticated, but inviting and warm, which Sandra had conveyed was important to her.

Large gilt letters that read “HBD SANDRA” were centered in the all-white lounge area, which showcased peach-hued throw pillows for a pop of color and helped to highlight the undertones in the bunches of flowers. Rose-gold colored matte balloons were also arranged on the deck, adding another bit of color to the monochromatic setting. This space was the perfect backdrop for photos, which is something that anyone throwing a party should consider. People like taking pictures and social media has only increased the need for one-of-a-kind creations to use for photo opps.

Near the spa section of the yacht were staircase rails completely covered in deep-red roses. It marked the spot for the live mariachi band to setup, beginning with a beautiful birthday ballad in Spanish called “Las Mañanitas.” Sandra and her gals began to dance and sing to the songs played by the musicians. The cocktails were kicking in! This is also when those captain hats came in handy!

Partygoers had all changed into their black bathing suits and put on their hats, ready to dance to music played by DJ Herick, frolic in the warm spa, take a sip of tequila from the impressive ice luge by Ice Bulb, enjoy hookah, or simply sit back and gaze out at the sea. It was such a remarkable day! We can’t wait to see what Sandra has in store for us for her 41st birthday celebration.
