On the evening after an incredible listening party, Teyana Taylor hosted an intimate slumber party at her private residence with a handful of her nearest and dearest. This particular night was the eve leading up to her worldwide album release at midnight, and clothing retailer PrettyLittleThing wanted it to be made extra special for her. With so much to celebrate, we were ready to spoil her with sweet surprises!

It felt like we literally turned her house upside down! Florals from Rendezvous Flowers spilled out of every corner of the abode; the fragrant scents were simply dreamy. Then, Town & Country Event Rentals draped the entire backyard in light-pink sheer fabric so it felt secluded and extravagant.

Chef Mel Culinary Services made exquisite appetizers and main courses for guests to savor, while Belladonna Sweets prepared the desserts. Cupcakes were topped off with some of the striking black-and-white photos from Teyana’s album photo shoot, as well as the PrettyLittleThing logo. The treats were as tasty as they were pretty!

We arranged for breezy tents to be situated around the pool – which had been drizzled with hundreds of floating spheres in shades of fuchsia and blush. Glimmering chandeliers were suspended from the ceilings of the tent structures for a bit of glitz, but the area still maintained a cozy feel with soft velvet furniture. Teyana wore a comfy PrettyLittleThing sweat suit in white with black writing and wore her hair half-up with curls. 

An enormous screen was set up by 3D Sounds so the group of friends and family could enjoy watching movies outdoors. Cushioned white benches created additional “rows” of seating options for loved ones who wanted to be up close to the action of the film. Muted-pink balloon installations created “walls” that helped to make the backyard feel enveloped. The lighting design was also strategic, so that the ambience felt very feminine and elegant. After such a bustling night the evening prior, it was so nice to see Teyana relaxing in her own environment, feeling proud, and eager for what was to come with the new album release.
