Ride Wit Us - Puma Launch

Puma knows how to put on a party! The Ride Wit Us ComplexCon after-party included super-cool details and décor. ComplexCon is a unique annual festival that unites pop culture, music, food, innovation, activism, education, and more. Music legend Pharrell serves as the cultural director, and it has become a much-talked-about event.

Colorful shoe styles, such as the rerelease of the ’80s style “Rider” shoe, set against equally vibrant packaging along with candlelight made it fit right in with the stylish, funky concept of the earlier event. Custom bikes with Puma branding were situated about the venue (Candela La Brea), where neon-colored uplighting showed off the details of each bicycle. One area set up with a bicycle, shoes, and a lighted purple sign that read “Ride Wit Us” also worked as a cool spot for photos, so we made sure to place everything in a way that made the path for passersby easy. That’s important for any event – you want to be sure that everyone feels comfortable and spaces are inviting, never overly crowded or counterproductive to the flow of things.

Plush lemon-colored loveseats and settees were arranged around huge LED screens that showed off Puma apparel and footwear. They made for cozy nooks where attendees could relax for a bit and mingle. Corners of the room were bedecked with art installations made from bicycle parts and tires; some creations sat on podiums while others were affixed to walls. A station where guests could design custom T-shirts with neon-colored paints was a hit, as well!

A dotted tangerine-hued dance floor, violet lasers, and fuchsia wall lighting complemented each other in such a whimsical pattern! Partygoers began to file in and settle themselves about the space, enjoying the beats from the live DJ, drinking fresh cocktails, and taking in the impressive scenery. Suddenly, talented BMX riders made their entrance, doing tricks as they rode in and effortlessly spun their bicycles around the room. It was a blast to watch, and everyone loved it!
