Miami New Year’s Eve Wedding

Miami Beach wedding on New Year's Eve by The Wife of the Party and Loriann Serna.

Chris and Cassie’s New Year’s Eve wedding in balmy Miami, Florida, was a complete dream day. Settling on a chic black-and-white décor palette, the couple selected a gorgeous sanctuary within the Ancient Spanish Monastery, a space that boasts remarkable history – as far back as 1133 AD – and truly stunning architecture. Bridesmaids wearing long gowns in a shade of vanilla preceded Cassie down the aisle. A live trio played as the bride made her grand entrance on the arm of her father. She wore a timeless strapless, fit-and-flare gown, paired with a cathedral veil that fell perfectly on her long loose blonde locks. Chris, equally dapper, chose a smart black tuxedo for the special occasion. He smiled widely as he watched his bride approaching, ready to join him for the heartfelt vow exchange.

Before attendees transitioned to the alfresco reception area that was bedecked in twinkling lights and amorous lighting all around, they were asked to leave audio messages using a vintage phone which would be used as a memorable “guestbook” for the couple. The newlyweds planned to listen to the messages after the wedding and they’d be able to listen in again for many years to come. Each guest found their seat at either a round table or a stately king’s table set with ivory charger plates dotted with pearl-like pattens at the rim. Each table was adorned with mesmerizing floral arrangements of white roses that beautifully complemented one another and flowed seamlessly with the classic décor concept.

The Wife of the Party was able to produce a spectacular celebration focusing on memorable details so that guests would feel special as they rang in the new year alongside the just-married couple. Friends and family danced on a white dance floor embellished with a personalized black vinyl motif, pretzel stands and burger sliders were offered for scrumptious late-night snacks, and of course, plenty of champagne was available, including a champagne tower. Cassie changed into a sweet, short frock for the reception and to prepare for a night of dancing. The fairy-tale evening also showcased a spectacular firework show at midnight, much to the delight of all in attendance! Following the exciting display in the sky, guests shifted back indoors for an after-party filled with even more revelry. The bride, now dressed in a dazzling short dress embellished with beading and crystals, sat down at a piano with her new husband who performed for onlookers. It was such a joy to see love in full force right as 2024 kicked off.
