John Legend & Chrissy Teigen’s Kismet Launch

When fun-loving celebrities John Legend and Chrissy Teigen launch a brand-new dog brand, we want to be involved. The Wife of the Party was thrilled when they asked us to help design and produce a launch party for their new venture: Kismet. They invited friends, family, and popular pup influencers to their home for a private celebration filled with a kaleidoscope of color and pure happiness.

As guests entered the residence, they were met with a giant, custom 20-foot-tall dog inflatable in the long driveway. It was the perfect spot for guests to pose for a pic with their furry companions. A fun 70s-inspired color scheme was brightly carried out throughout – from comfy furniture and round “ball” throw pillows to gorgeous fresh blooms and clever signage, like the “Pawder Room.” In the foyer of the home, an elaborate display of framed portraits of each dog in attendance was arranged. We crafted and installed fur walls to create the gallery, along with other furry elements to bring the theme together.

Other fun and entertaining spaces were the ball pit, a photo booth, and a “store” bedecked with furniture covered in fur material – there were even dog-shaped pedestals covered in brightly hued fur, in addition to a floral installation in the center of faux fire hydrants! Delicious options in fare, including colorful sushi (gotta keep it all matching with the color palette, right?), all catered by Pez Cantina, as well as vividly colored cocktails at the custom bar.

For after meal treats, darling dog-inspired everything was set out for desserts. The shaggy cake was my favorite, as well as the dog-face cupcakes. So cute and yum! We wish John and Chrissy nothing but success in their new venture. The Wife of the Party had a great time producing this event for some of our favorite clients.
