Welcoming Jason Derulo & Jena Frumes' Baby Boy

An extraordinary jungle-themed baby shower sponsored by clothing retailer Boohoo was planned for Jena Frumes and singer/songwriter Jason Derulo’s baby boy (dubbed “Baby J” for the special day). Opting for Jason’s home as the venue, we chose a beautiful, soft color palette of celery, blush, and ivory with gold accents. Rendezvous Flowers crafted lush arrangements of roses, hydrangeas, and fresh greenery placed in tall gold vases, while LA Balloon Co. designed adorable balloon garlands, including one impeccable masterpiece poolside. The cabana entryway was framed in an array of familiar safari-like hues, albeit in muted tones. Oversized balloons, as well as smaller versions were artfully interspersed with blush roses and abundant greenery. Netted pots and tall vases completed the refined look.

A grand balloon installation over Jason and Jena’s pool with the “J” motif. Guests were able to take pictures with this beautiful photo moment on either side and walk underneath to get to the main bar and lounges.

Look at this day to night transition with the lighting! Knowing when your event will end is always important, for lighting specifically. I’d say Jason and Jena’s shower looks even better at night with this lighting!

Guests grabbed drinks from the bar area which had been bedecked with fresh flower arrangements, personalized sugar cookies emblazoned with Boohoo branding or the “J” motif seen throughout the décor, as well as white ceramic lions with gold crowns atop their mane. Glossy black cocktail tables that surrounded the pool were decorated with alternating groupings of florals, bullion wild animal figurines, and globes. We were really happy with how the theme was carried out because it’s important to make all of the elements not only complement each other, but also have the details make sense.

Mom, dad, and “big brother” (Jason’s pit bull pup) were dressed for the occasion, wearing attire that paired nicely with the color scheme. Loved ones perused the different food stations ranging in food choices: Comfort LA Food Truck, Savage Taco food truck, and yummy Love Swirl churros in addition to slices of cake.

Loved ones were also made comfortable in a lounge area that included sleek all-white furniture with boohoo-branded throw pillows, a ping pong table, and tall bamboo giraffes that helped to tie in the theme to the cool, modern alfresco nook. You could feel the excitement from family and friends as they showered the couple with gifts, support, and love throughout the happy day. The couple has now welcomed their baby: also named Jason. Congratulations!

A big main lounge for guests to look over Jason and Jena’s perfect Safari themed baby shower with centerpieces full of lush florals, gold accents, globe props and gold safari animals.
