John Legend & Chrissy Teigen's Squid Game

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen hosted a simulation of the Netflix show Squid Game with their closest friends and family. To keep in theme, bus transportation provided by Turbo VIP Lifestyle was arranged to shuttle guests from their homes and deliver them at John and Chrissy's house for a night of fun competition. The couple’s estate had been completely transformed to look like the show! John wore a mask and Chrissy was dressed like a toy doll, both were easily recognizable depictions from the show.

As guests arrived, they were met with servers dressed in full Squid Game soldier garb, including the infamous black mesh facemasks and pink jumpsuits. It was very cool to see everyone’s reactions unfold! The majority of the attendees wore a replica of the green tracksuit that the Squid Game characters wore during the “games. Large LED screens from 3D Sounds set up in the alfresco area showcased “players” photos along with their player identification number. DJ Jae Murphy pumped up partygoers by playing favorite jams, whilst standing behind a DJ booth emblazoned with Squid Game insignia shapes: circle, triangle, square. There was also a fun dunk tank from BR Party Rentals and a photo booth from LX Pix for added revelry.

Guests participated in three games: golden pig hunt, musical chairs, and sink the guard. The winner of each game participated in a final game of pin the tail on the donkey for the grand prize: a trip to Napa and dinner at famed restaurant French Laundry. The winner was presented with an oversized check (similar to a game show check prize) as colorful confetti fell from above.

Dinner was catered by Savore and served to guests seated at tables arranged in the shape of a large triangle. Silky champagne-hued linens covered tables decorated with short floral arrangements by Peony Secret and complemented with moody candlelight. The black-and-white checkered floor from Create Event Design was an unexpected, but lovely, contrast to the color scheme. Sweet treats, including green sugar cookies baked by Cookieteria, showcased the players’ white numbers – mimicking the player numbers on their attire and reminiscent of the hit show.

After dinner, everyone participated in another game – Dalgona – where all the winners won a $100 Amazon gift card. The game challenges players to carve a design or shape – such as a circle, triangle, or umbrella into a piece of honeycomb candy known as dalgona, a popular Korean street food treat.

Thank you John and Chrissy for allowing us to be your event planners for this one-of-a-kind party!
