Paramount Pictures' Babylon Young Hollywood Event
When Paramount Pictures calls, you answer. And when they want you to design and coordinate the premiere party for the upcoming Christmas blockbuster movie Babylon featuring megastars Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, you go ALL OUT. The festivities were hosted at LAVO Ristorante, one of Tao Group’s newest venues in Los Angeles. Guests walked the red carpet where they discovered magnificent details, including a lighted marquee, a unique, L-shaped step-and-repeat, sparkling gilt chandeliers, and vintage automobiles.
As attendees entered, they were met with a flurry of spectacular details. On the right side of the ballroom, they were introduced to an oversized LED screen playing Babylon, while straight ahead were gorgeous burlesque dancers – one in a Champagne coupe and another in a vintage bathtub. Veering to the left was a black-and-white floral step-and-repeat, in addition to a vintage black-and-white spotlight photo moment. Calligraphers were on hand to write guests’ names on Champagne splits. Guests were then led to a very grand step-and-repeat on a red carpet. The last awe-worthy moment in that particular room was a walk-in photo booth where guests started in one scene, then walked through the door and ended up in a raging Hollywood party. It was nothing short of spectacular!
The ceiling of the bar area was completely lined in vivid florals, and yet, another beautiful Babylon step-and-repeat for photos where celebrities stopped to smile and allow photographers to document their couture attire. Four-foot-high lighted letters spelled out Babylon, stunning dancers entertained about the space, a live band played pop hits, casino games were available, tray-passed light bites were offered, and delightful cocktail concoctions were made especially for partygoers. There was much to do – and see!
In La Fleur, the private VIP room of the property, gem-stone blue draping enveloped the space, balloons covered the ceiling creating a one-of-a-kind ambience, framed movie posters plastered the walls, and musical favorites played to create the ultimate inclusive dance party – a perfect way to end the star-studded evening.
