11:11 - Dan and Casey's Superstar Wedding
On a lovely fall day, social-media mogul Dan Fleyshman wed his beloved Casey Martin at a private residence in Los Angeles. The couple were both very involved in the planning of the wedding, alongside our team, and it was so exciting when it all came to fruition. This was an especially fun celebration because they had such wildly beautiful ideas – including actual wild animals! Yes!
Since the wedding was held on November 11th, we completely fabricated huge lighted 11:11 numbers as a nod to their lucky wedding date. We also arranged for trained gondoliers to be available to give rides to guests during cocktail hour. Guests loved this romantic detail!
A masterpiece of a chuppah was erected, covered in thousands of vanilla flowers with fresh verdure; the same blend of blooms lined the aisle in simple, stunning arrangements. The lush surroundings of the ceremony area were already naturally breathtaking so there was not much else needed. The customary Jewish ceremony was sweet and tender, and the couple both looked gorgeous in their one-of-a-kind ensembles. Custom yarmulkes were offered to the men, while women were given handmade floral crowns. Bridesmaids – including models Jessa Hinton and Ana Cheri – wore elegant black long gowns and carried bouquets that looked as if they had been freshly picked. Groomsmen, such as Branden Hampton and Steve Aoki, looked dapper in tuxedos with bow ties. The blend of tradition and laidback bohemian vibes was a nice combination!
The alfresco reception was held on a sprawling grass area where round tables had been arranged for guests. Tablescapes were clean, modern, and showcased the same color scheme as seen earlier in the day. An amazing lighting design was created for the event and turned out terrific, which was satisfying for us because there was literally so.much.ground to cover. Loved ones danced, mingled, visited the live animals on site, and enjoyed the dessert bar. The cutting of the cake was a great memory – when immediately after, Dan’s dear friend Steve Aoki got in on the fun. The crowd roared with laughter as the two men playfully smashed wedding cake across each other’s faces.
Once the dinner service – catered by Schaffer Events – was concluded, Dan remained in his smart black tuxedo, whilst his bride had removed the skirt of her gown designed by Michael Costello, revealing a shorter version. She opted to change from heels to white Dr. Martens for the dancing portion of the evening, where confetti canons popped as the last song played. The couple swayed together, as new husband and wife, excited to begin their married journey together.
