BoohooMAN x French Montana
For the boohooMAN by French Montana collaboration, we sought a décor scheme that was masculine, yet alluring – we thought it symbolized the brand and its ambassador fittingly. The limited-edition collection focused on varsity jackets, bold T-shirt prints, and sleek matching sets and was co-designed by the hip-hop artist himself. We thought the designs were rich, cool, and relaxed, so it was definitely the inspiration for all the details of the launch party.
Electing gold as the primary hue for the event, we combined elements that would both complement and contrast with the shade… sometimes you need a pop of color or a whimsical detail to keep it interesting for guests and keep their eyes moving in wonder! The outdoor area of hot Hollywood spot Poppy was emblazoned with boohooMAN logos in crisp black-and-white. To passerby, the building itself looked dramatic and thrilling.
Guests entered through a spectacular bullion tunnel crafted from thick glossy paper that had been carefully crumbled and affixed to the hallway and ceiling. Paired with a disco ball and perfect lighting, it left guests in awe as they passed through the area, stopping for photo opps along the way.
To promote the fashion-forward line, we printed huge images of French showing off the clothing and then affixed those posters to walls all around the space, in addition to photos showcased in frames of various sizes, colors, and textures. Even restroom doors were covered in full displays! It was a fun surprise to walk around and see all the different looks as you explored, and it was a great way to celebrate the guest of honor.
The interior was awash in amber mood lighting, giving the venue a sexy feel. Models clad in gold attire were seen swinging overhead in actual swings suspended from the club’s high ceiling above the dance floor. Booth-style seating sections were given a whimsical aesthetic by way of metallic wall coverings that made the entries appear circular, while lounge areas boasted golden tables and chairs, sparkling glass chandeliers, and sweet-smelling hookah pipes.
The place was packed with swarms of incredible people from bloggers and influencers to actors and singers. Reality-television stars Dean Unglert, Nick Viall, and more favorites from The Bachelor series were in attendance, as well as Vanderpump Rules fellas Tom Sandoval and James Kennedy. Fashion designer Michael Costello, R&B artist Tank, DJ Duffey, and even Justin Combs, Stefflon Don, and Chris Brown stopped by to support French in his new endeavor with the popular European clothing brand. It was definitely a fun night for all and one we were glad to have been a part of!
