A Delightful Blushing Bride's Rose Filled Brunch

Joanne is getting married! She's going to be a Thorne and well, Every Rose Needs Her Thorne. Why not celebrate with a rosy bridal brunch with a handful of her closest friends and family before the November nuptials in Troncones, Mexico? Madeline Garden in Pasadena was the perfect venue because where else would we host a rose themed shower besides the home of the Rose Parade itself?

The bride-to-be was radiant as she posed with her "practice bouquet" from White Sakuras in Huntington Beach. Her seamless style was emphasized with flawless hair and makeup from Nina at the Pasadena based salon, The Factory.

Right behind Joanne was her bridal party! The junior maid of honor, Malia and the best man John.

How lovely does Joanne (nicknamed Little Joe) - the Matron Of Honor look in theme?

Before the afternoon began DJ Herick set the tone with Sunday funday music as we began setting the tabletops with rose gold cupcakes from Roobina's Cakes, petite chocolate covered Oreos from Rosebud Chocolates, caramel white chocolate apples dressed in roses from Sugar Studio and homemade scones made in-house.

As guests arrived so did her dainty gifts, which sat pretty atop the Gypsy Rose Dresser we pulled from Circa Rentals.

Guests arrived one-by-one and then posed for the obligatory group shot captured at just the right moment by Tiffany Kyees:

All the wedding talk made us hungry so we quickly took our seats to enjoy a menu consisting of a duet - French Toast and Quiche Lorraine with guests' choice of Rose or red wine sangria and refreshing cucumber lemonade. Two family style tables sat under a garnished chandelier complete with hanging roses. Tables were dressed in rose gold chargers, ivory linen napkins and loose blooms secured with a rosy brooch. We broke up the seating by adding in Circa's family style benches and bistro chairs for a daytime look.

The afternoon concluded opening gifts in the patio with cocktails, celebrations and the very best company. Felicidades, Joanne and Peter! We can't wait for Mexico!
