When prayer keeps us together

It isn't often that I blog about personal matters. But today, I want to say thank you. Thank you to my readers, followers and online friends. Everyone is so quick to talk about the negative effects of public opinion on social media. Everyone is afraid to talk about prayer. In fact, it's controversial. Not in my home. We pray, every day. Last night I asked for prayers because my grandma is in the hospital, and a few extra were needed for my mom. For strength and endurance during a tough time like this - watching her disoriented mother grow old and be fearful in an unfamiliar place. She just wanted to go home.

Here is my grammy just recently on her birthday - four generations:

I came home to a phone full of notifications. Prayers and uplifting words and messages from my mother's friends asking to be kept in the loop. It makes me so happy to know that the people I associate with come together in a matter of seconds to lift one another up and offer reassurance and comforting words when needed most. More than anything, I hate seeing my mom so exhausted. She is her caretaker and with the help of two beautiful nurses my mom spends every day loving my grammy through some of the toughest times of her life. Dimentia is an ugly disease.

So with that, thank you social media. Thank you for bringing me such a world of positivity and the ability to connect with compassionate people. It reignites my drive to keep posting, creating and delivering. Happy Monday, friends.
