#makeitbakeitmoveitshakeit - the recap

Sample sale Sunday success! I feel fortunate to have so many friends that are small business owners and I love to parade their talents and their treasures twice a year in my home. Now, there are so many of us and I meet awesome vendors weekly so I teamed up with Sea Of Pearls and Lolly Clothing to throw an afternoon full of everything you can think of for every kind of shopper. What better place to support shopping small, women and networking than the Woman's Club of South Pasadena!

Guests were gifted shopping bags from us and our friends at April Love Pro Makeup Academy as they walked up the red carpet. The fashion bloggers in attendance received discounts, gifts and some great wardrobe refreshers from all participating vendors and henna from rockstar Kelly Jurado. Thrifted Sister Events went above and beyond for our blogger lounge on stage so they had the perfect spot to relax, enjoy and watch all the goings on. They dressed up a play station for the littles complete with area rugs and throw pillows and the sweetest little chalkboard table for doodling and uh, drooling.

The Happen Booth wasn't lonely at all as it enjoyed all the pretty faces snapping away, modeling their braids and floral crowns from Pixies Petals and Face It Sugar. One of my closest friends, Nicole Shahar from An Old Soul Jewelry prettied up those decolletes with handmade jewels and enjoyed many returning shoppers from the last few years. Paper Crew humored guests with their new collection of witty notebooks and cards and managed to get me to buy one of everything! Across the way Bedhead Pajamas unloaded my favorite pajamas for babies and tweens as Caliwick offered creative, handmade candles from those leftover happy hours. It goes on, and on, and on and you should save Sunday, November 29th before I continue!

Well? Did you?

EDLT Photo was running out documenting the fun when SAMBA went into full effect and the parade of tiny tots mimicked the joyous gyrations step-by-step. Lolly Clothing and Sea Of Pearls joined me on stage to gift raffle prizes as shoppers swooped in on their sample sale prices for as far as the racks could reach. While mom shopped, Jessica painted happy faces and had juice boxes with the babes. Yes, there was a LOT going on - and it was just as delicious as the white and red sangria.

For the non-drinkers, Home Brewed Bar had tastings and to-go options ready of their top sellers that were featured the day before at the LA Street Food Fest. Mmm. Coffee + Auntie Apple cookies = a sweet success. I will insert here that she's as sweet as her cookies and a necessity for everything I do. Every shopper received one and bloggers were gifted boxed cookies because when we blog, it's about presentation - right?

Finally, a huge loving thanks to Herick at Happen for production, lighting, music, tables, CLEANING and loving me. Without you, I wouldn't be the Wife Of The Party and none of this would be possible. You are my husband, best friend, and biggest fan. Most of the time. ::snicker::

See you in November? #makeitbakeitmoveitshakeit has all the rest of the awesome photos thanks to Y-O-U! Geneveive, let's get planning and guests, keep tagging.

Good night!
