You can imagine the excitement I felt even walking the venue with our vendors to have an opportunity to be so up close and personal with something so historic. Guests of this holiday company party entered through the main doors of the California Science Center and were greeted by a futuristic champagne girl providing cold, bubbly libations. As they grabbed their glass to go they were escorted through the museum into a cocktail reception prior to entering the main event. 

Once tray passed tasters were enjoyed the doors were opened to the Samuel Oschin Pavilion for guests to ooh and awe in all the splendor that is the Shuttle Endeavour. The Happen Booth used the shuttle as the perfect backdrop because well, how can you compete with THAT? Guests had the opportunity to try on some space-aged props for size and snap away some fun before dinner. 

Speaking of dinner, let's talk about the festive menu Chef Bret Thompson of Pez Cantina created. Selections included a slider and burger station with Kobe beef patties, Cuban BBQ pulled pork and crunchy pea falafel burgers. The seafood and salad station served up fish and chips with chipotle aioli, tater tots tossed in truffle butter and lemon, cedar planked salmon with caramelized onion-bacon crust and pan roasted broccolini stalks. 

Next, a variety of desserts were on hand sweetly displayed on ice blocks and hanging from white, snowy manzanilla trees. Red Velvet, vanilla and coffee macaron ice cream sandwiches accompanied cotton candy, powdered sugar covered chocolate-pistachio crumbles, baby caramel lady apples with peanuts and milk chocolate pepita-honeycomb. 

Staff in platinum bobbed wigs and silver space-aged uniforms served out-of-this-world cocktails to guests from behind a plush white tufted bar as guests danced under the shuttle to the tunes of DJ Herick. For those that needed a little cat nap  before hitting the dance floor, a retro lounge was perfectly staged for sitting, photo taking and flipping through themed magazines. Not many people have the opportunity for star gazing, moon walking, fine dining and a history lesson altogether but thanks to Supplyframe, these lucky space invaders sure did.

It embarked on its first mission, STS-49, in May 1992 and its 25th and final mission, STS-134, in May 2011.[2][3] STS-134 was expected to be the final mission of the Space Shuttle program,[4] but with the authorization of STS-135, Atlantis became the last shuttle to fly.

The United States Congress authorized the construction of Endeavour in 1987 to replace Challenger, which was lost in 1986 when it broke up 73 seconds after launch. Structural spares built during the construction of Discovery and Atlantiswere used in its assembly. NASA chose to build Endeavour from spares rather than refitting Enterprise or accepting aRockwell International proposal to build two shuttles for the price of one on cost grounds.
