Vibrant Fiesta Backyard Wedding Reception

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than with bright spring florals in a beautiful and lush garden and a gorgeous bride and groom? We spent Earth Day watching love bloom with Whitney and Juan Carlos and are sharing all the details of their vibrant fiesta backyard wedding reception with you today.

It was another amazing Southern California day...perfect weather, bright clear skies, a stunning bride and groom, an evening filled with laughter, fun, fresh Mexican food, and a performance by a dancing firebird. Yes, I really said a dancing firebird. Just wait til you see the photos...and the video!

The reception took place at a gorgeous Spanish style home owned by the bride's good friend. Hot pink bougainvillea inspired the bright blooms and satin linens. White papel picado banners rustled in the breeze and lanterns adorned with flowers and ribbon decorated trees throughout the property.

Bridesmaids helped our bride get picture perfect ready for the reception.

Bright beautiful spring florals combined with delicate succulents created by White Sakuras matched the bride's vision for an intimate and vibrant fiesta.

Whitney and Juan Carlos are kindred spirits who couldn't wait to say,"I do".

Guests listened to traditional music from La Victoria, the all female mariachi band, while enjoying handmade tortillas made on the spot, fresh aquas frescas, and seasoned elotes from Taquiza El Sinaloense

Bridesmaids chose their own dresses and colors that suited their personalities and tastes.

Whitney changed into a beautiful cream colored gown for the evening festivities and walked as if on a cloud into their backyard reception.

One of our favorite parts of the reception...the funny and sometimes emotional toasts to the new bride and groom.

DJ Herick kept the crowd entertained and moving on the dance floor!

The arrival of Miss Fuego, the dancing firebird, brought laughter and smiles to this happy crowd. You can see Miss Fuego's dance moves on our Instagram page.

The mother of the groom made her traditional carrot cake as a special gift to the bride and groom. White Sakuras provided fresh blooms for a pop of color.

Guests were treated to Party Jars filled with Mexican treats to enjoy on the ride home.

Congratulations Whitney and Juan Carlos! Thank you for letting us be a part of your celebration!
